Inspiring Science and Society to Tackle Marine Litter
18 November, 2021 @ 9:30 am – 4:00 pm
The Marine Litter challenge must prompt scientists, governments, industry, environmental groups and other citizens to take urgent action and to work together. This is also the mission of the United Nations Ocean Decade. Within the Ocean Decade Laboratories, under the call “A Clean Ocean”, the MAELSTROM H2020 project will organize a satellite activity on Inspiring Science and Society to tackle Marine Litter. The aim of the webinar is to contribute to a Joint Strategy for Marine Litter Networking Actions to create synergies among multiple actors to tackle marine litter.
This satellite activity will be organized as a webinar (Zoom platform) on the 18th of November from 09.30 am – 16.00 pm (https://www.oceandecade-conference.com/en/satellite-activities-a-clean-ocean.html). The event is jointly organized by MAELSTROM’s partners: Interdisciplinary Centre for Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR), CIMA Research Foundation, CRN-ISMAR and Venice Lagoon Plastic Free.
