The fourth international workshop, Marine Litter Monitoring, Removal and Circular Economy: Solutions for the Mission Restore Our Ocean and Waters, is held today. Co-organized by BlueMissionMed and MAELSTROM, projects the event is part of the European Green Week 2024. As in previous years, the event is hosted by CNR-ISMAR, the coordinating partner of MAELSTROM, at the Arsenale in Venice within the International Boat Show (Salone Nautico).
The event will showcase and demonstrate selected transformative innovative solutions to face marine litter and microplastics pollution. Another aim of this event is supporting The Mediterranean Sea Basin for the Implementation of the EU Mission Restore Our Ocean And Waters by fostering an innovation ecosystem and accelerating the implementation of solutions – technological, social, business, and governance – to swiftly advance towards the objectives of protecting and restoring the health of our ocean and waters.
